Welcome,
My name is Chandra Cornell. I am a mother of 2 boys and have been married since 2000. I also have the joy of watching my 2 nephews on week days. I began working in the child care setting in 1996 with school age children. From there I truly enjoyed teaching in the 3-4 age classrooms, but my true passion was to be in the office. I enjoy being able to interact with both the parents as well as the children.
I graduated from Front Range Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in 2000.
I enjoy playing softball, and camping during the warmer weather. When it starts getting cooler outside I know it's time to watch some football.
Ascension Lutheran's
Extended Day Preschool
I have worked at Ascension Lutheran Preschool since 2000. I worked as an aide for two years and have been in the office the remainder of the time. I make sure all payments get recorded, and all paper work is turned in and filed. I love my job, I was retired ten years and could not seem to keep busy. This is the perfect job for me. I work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with summers off. That gives me plenty of time to spend with my family.

You are greatly missed!!!

My career working with children began in the fall of 1994 when I started working as a Teacher's Aide at a child care center in Longmont, CO. I worked at the center as a Teacher's Aide, then Group Leader, then became a Lead Teacher. I worked with children from six weeks to twelve years old, with most of my focus being in the three-year-old room and with school agers. I spent some time living in Arizona and while I was there I was the Director of a Child Care Center and worked at a private school for autistic children. Upon returning to Colorado I went to school for Massage Therapy and Personal Training. I got back into Child Care when I took the Lead Teacher position here at Ascension in September 2008. I also work at Anytime Fitness in Lakewood as a Personal Trainer. Away from work, I enjoy dancing, spending time with family and friends, camping, being in the sunshine, traveling, and working on a race car team.
My name is Leslie Pless. I graduated from CU Health Science Center with a Bachelor's degree in nursing in 1989. I started working at St. Joseph Hospital as a registered nurse and worked there full time for ten years. I then went part time until 2003 I decided to stay home with my 2 boys. Now that my boys are older and one is driving I thought I would start working outside the home again. I have been working at Ascension Lutheran's EDP as a substitute for many years, so I was excited when this opportunity to work full time came along. I have been married since 1990. I enjoy being with my family, camping, fishing, traveling, bowling, and watching my son play his many sports.
My name is Wendy Hildebrandt. I have been working in the early childhood education field for a little over 13yrs. I got my group leader certification at Arapahoe – Douglas Area Vocation School in early childhood education. Most of my teaching years were here at Ascension. I ventured off to teach at some other Schools and now find myself back here. I truly love this preschool. I feel this preschool is the best fit for any child. We are a true family here. I am a mother of 3 boys. I have 2 boys in collage, one at the school of mines and one at UNC Greely, and one in 8th grade. Some of my favorite activities are camping, hiking, and most of all Jet-Skiing. When the cold weather comes around you can find me at home watching movies curled up on the couch.
My name is Marla Golden. I have been teaching at Ascension EDP since 2007 in the four and five year old room. I am Director qualified, and have a degree in Early Childhood with a minor as a Pediatric Activity Specialist. I have worked in the preschool field since 1974, and I love it.
I was married in 1991 and have two children. I have a daughter at Ralph Moody Elementary, and one at Heritage High School.
I enjoy scrapbooking and making cards in my spare time.
